an early publicity shot
shortly after Graham joined
(circa 1977)

An early lineup

left to right:

Fred Poke - Bass
Graham Fenton - Lead Vocalist
'Wild' Bob Burgos - Drums
Rusty Lupton - Piano / Rhythm Guitar / vocals
Steve Bloomfield - Lead Guitar / vocals

This early publicity photo shows two of the members that went their seperate ways before the band had really made it's mark.

Rusty Lupton was a wild pianist with a shock of red hair, hence his name. He also played rhythm guitar and sang. He went on to a band called the Rockettes for a while afterwards, before getting involved in the country scene for a few years. He came back to the rock'n'roll circuit, first spending a year with the Alleycats before plying his exciting Jerry Lee style with the Kingcats for several years. Poor health began to interrupt his time there, but he continued to manage the occasional gig with both the Kingcats and back with the Alleycats. He even managed to complete the sessions for an album with the latter. Sadly he eventually died in June 2018.

'Wild' Bob Burgos is very much a journeyman drummer and has done the rock'n'roll rounds with a good many people. He has several CDs released under his own name, often featuring his own compositions.

the Cruisers -
with Gordon & Jimmy

The Cruisers

Rob Murley
Paul Hudson
Gordon Scott
Jimmy Redhead

The Cruisers specialised in sweet harmony doo-wop. After Gordon and Jimmy left to join Matchbox, they drafted in Leroy on drums, who had previously been in Rocking Pneumonia with Gordon. They continued for some time, releasing several singles.
